Quality first for customer service, workmanship and dependability.

Creative Choice Services (CCS) was founded in 2011, to bring quality management and dependability, to property maintenance services, for residents and businesses in Denmark, Albany, and throughout the Great Southern.

Founder Phil Kinder identified a need for reliable, consistent, good quality gardening and maintenance work. In particular for absentee owned properties, holiday rentals and residents wanting a more holistic annual approach to the ongoing maintenance of their property.

"CCS is all about ‘choice’. We love working with people to solve property related problems or engaging in a creative process to enhance, develop or build something. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience and allow property owners the ‘choice’ of being involved as much or as little as they like.

We believe that excellent service is born out of listening to, respecting and responding to client needs."
Phil, 2016.

We are a small team of courteous, polite and hard working, trustworthy people.

Advanced Business Abilities

I am the proprietor and founder of CCS and I am heavily engaged in all aspects of the business. You will regularly find me on the tools, sharing the workload and leading by example.

I am involved in the planning, co-ordination and implementation of every project, both onsite and behind the scenes. I am also responsible for client liaison, quoting, quality management, standards assurance and start to finish communications.

I manage a small team of people and work closely with like-minded contractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, diligently and to an agreed standard.

I have a varied background including studies and an early career in catering & hospitality management, sales and account management; corporate account management and complex solutions project management. Later, I travelled the Middle East, Asia and South East Asia as International Partnership Manager for a Health and Safety related company.

Having worked extensively in small business and large corporate sectors, I am keen to bring the best of both service styles and capabilities, to our clients in the Great Southern.

In my opinion, communication is a supremely important part of reaching outcomes successfully. I have completed many communication skills courses, and have also practiced as a life/performance coach.

I really enjoy solving problems, taking complex information and then relaying it in a clear and easy to understand fashion. I also love engaging in creative processes, thinking out side the box and doing what I can to add value for my clients.

Experience has taught me the importance of planning and preparation; focusing on the objectives, communicating with stakeholders, clearly, openly and frequently, and the value of hard work performed methodically.

On moving and starting a family in Denmark, I started a gardening and maintenance services business. This developed further as I was requested to take on various landscaping, building and construction projects.

With a young family, focus on the longer-term future, and sustainability, takes on a new emphasis. I am keen to lead a relaxed and happy lifestyle, here in Denmark, contributing to the community with my wife and two kids.

In the Great Southern I would like to see better infrastructure, and better access to specialist services. I would like to see the region continue and grow into a mecca for good food, good wine and a great lifestyle.

Globally, I hope the future will bring more sustainability and accountability across all growth industries. I would like to see decisions being made, and actions taken for the greater good of people and our environment, rather than for greed and money. Especially, I would like to see more positive mentoring and support for children and their health, as they are the future.

On my days off, I enjoy working with wood, designing and making things, trail bike riding (enduro), fishing and 4WD – I like all things adventure based! I love learning and exploring whilst spending time with family.

  • Certificates in Asbestos Removal, Working in Confined Spaces, and First Aid Working
  • Working with Children Check, Blue Card, police clearance

I work for CCS, as head tradesman on all projects; Gardening, Maintenance, Asbestos Removal and Demolitions. I also take on the responsibility for onsite supervision of certain operations. I work closely with Phil to ensure that all the CCS quality and safety assurances are met.

I previously worked in computer programming, but I love working physically and outdoors. I believe it is important that work reflects the priorities you hold for your lifestyle, and beliefs.

I enjoy working at CCS, because I really appreciated and respect the good management style that Phil upholds. Communication and respect, for clients and for each other as team members, is an integral part of our company ethos.

In my spare time I like to repair computers, spend time with the family, and I enjoy martial arts.

My future aim is to set up a family home, and relax in the beauty of the Great Southern. My family have extensively travelled Australia and here is the most beautiful place we have found.

Jess Kinder, CCS Founding Partner/ Administration

  • 12 years in Customer Service and Administration
  • Diploma in Sales and Project Marketing

My responsibilities include account management, marketing, advertising, administration and general management support.

CCS has grown successfully over the last 4 years while we have been in Denmark and I’m very proud to be apart of it. Phil and our team do an incredible job and my aim is to make all the ‘background’ work as easy as possible so they can keep doing their bests.

We have great working relationships with all our clients and I’m pleased to have so many positive testimonials from them. We believe what comes around, goes around and we put honesty and communication first in all our business dealings.

Phil and I have two young children, so this keeps me busy but in my spare time I enjoy natural horsemanship, cooking and travelling to destinations for food and history.
